I was super excited to stumble upon this book, thinking it would be more of Armand's viewpoint & how he fathered his two daughters, how he felt about that, but it was a very short snippet of how he met Sasha.Don't get me wrong, it was a page turner & I loved it, I was just left longing for more of the story. It was a lot shorter than I would have liked.

it fits with the series
I have read the whole series and enjoyed each one. This one had me going for awhile tho.
I absolutely love April's writing and am waiting for her new books!!!
Should have read this first shows how the whole thing comes together. Makes you feel sorry for everything he goes though but keeps you wanting to know more.
The stage for a great series. I recommend this series for anyone that loves magic, witches, warlocks and a great writer spinning a fantastic tale.
i absolutely loved all the books in this series. i read each book in sequence back to back. couldnt seem to stop reading them and when i had to take a break the story was always playing in my mind. i can not wait until another is published. i enjoy reading this author.
After reading the first three books of Dark Roots I felt connected to the stories.
I need more and this book did NOT disappoint at all.
I promise once you start this author you will look forward to more.
